Deprived

I missed you.

I felt really bad to have only spent 3 hours with you yesterday, i wish i could stay longer.

But, i'm so glad i got to spend 2 intimate hours with you after PK today.

It felt so good.

You're my one and only, most precious, most loyal and supportive furniture i have ever had.

Thanks, bed!

...

Nah, it's not a flower-plant-love-story (should i add a link here? nyek nyek nyek, just kidding!), it's just an expression of how much i appreciate my bed in times like these when i'm sleep deprived. And no, you don't have to close down your blog, pai gu po, we're just teasing you cos it's part of being in the Wonder Five. ;p
Hope you enjoy being part of us.. haha!

...

Thank you Lord, for today, no matter how it went.

'tis so sweet to trust in Jesus...

1 more paper down! 4 more to go!

Happy Birthday Milkshake PoPo

Happy Birthday to my dearest Milkshake PoPo, my housemate, my coursemate, my friend, my companion in times of sadness and in times of great joy!

We may be different in many ways, being brought up in totally different environments but i'm glad we can be such good friends. We may argue about anything and everything under the sun but at the end of the day, nothing matters as much as having each other there to cook and eat dinner together, study together, go woolies together, go shopping together, go placements together..

I never realised how much i'd miss her company until she goes for holidays. Having her around just makes a difference. We may not speak for a whole day, or even see each other but as long as i know i can find her in her room, it feels so much better. =)

We, as in Joyce, Simon and myself did another little surprise party for our special little housemate who has just turned 21! We lit tea candles and made it a cute little heart shape, and put a cake with a singing candle at the side, then a little meh-meh-lamb for a present and a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY balloon all in front of her room. "Knock knock.." again but this time we all hid in the bathroom and waited for her... 'wahhhhhhh...' hehe!

This poor girl always has her birthday during exam period so everyone is rather busy at that time. That's all i can do for you girl and i hope you enjoyed it! WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH and it wouldn't have been the same had you not stayed with us in this house!

Enjoy being 21 and have a beautiful year! =)

Haiz, this is making me miss my 21... :|

Nyways, BIG HUGS and a kiss for you, birthday girl!

...

Half of me is happy, for nothing, really.

Half of me is sad, for nothing really worth it as well.

Why do i still bother!?!

Lead me to Your heart, where i can be strong.

....

Do not fret because of evil men or be envious of those who do wrong;
for like the grass they will soon wither,
like green plants they will soon die away.
Trust in the Lord and do good;
dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.
Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.

Psalm 37:1-4

Do i have mild lactose intolerance?

Why do i need to go to the toilet everytime i drink milk?

Replace, replacing... yet to be replaced.

And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with Me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going."

"Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you. I do not give to You as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."

Thank You Jesus!

Thank you that You were there with me this morning at the prac. I still don't know how i did, but i just want to thank you.

For my dear friend who is worried, you'll be alright yeah. Don't let it affect your other subjects and the worst that could happen is supp ma ho, no big deal. But i don't think you'll even need it. =) hugssss!

I had a reasonably good day today. I was afraid i won't be able to wake up in time for prac but i was woken up (Thank you, Holy Spirit!) at about 6.30am then i went back to sleep then Jiena started making breakfast so i had to wake up. =)

Everything was good except that i didn't end up doing as much as i would hope to, studying wise.

And we gave our dearest Milkshake Popo, Zou Jiena a birthday surprise since her *ahem* will be leaving tomorrow. He walked allll the way to Libscombe Larder to buy her her favourite Mocha cake. How sweet! =) We tried to gather everyone without making any noise, lit the candle, turned off the lights and 'Knock, Knock.." {nggiiaaakk, opens door} ..

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO Jiena!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!

"Make a wish, make a wish.."

"Hee hee.. hee heee.. PUffffff~!"

And the whole night was filled with hee hee haa haa.. with laughter, kicking each other's arses (i mean, literally), teasing, tickling, screaming, shouting, making fun of each other, wrestling..

Well, today's not her real birthday so i won't wish her here yet. Her Magic Wolf knows she likes to eat watermelon and so bought her a big one and carved her name with a birthday wish on it. How sweet~!

I got something sweet too lehh, Ting and Val made me a superduperlicious almond and pear dessert with Tang Yuen. Yummyyy! It was so sweet it reached my ♥. Thank you so much, i know how much you both care for me and i can't thank GOd enough for you!

One day, one day. That day will come when that one person will know the difference between the truth and the deception, between the real and unreal, between genuinity and counterfeit, between deep and shallow, between maturity and uncoolness, between...

There is something weird going on.. hmm.. but i shall shuff it aside for the moment. I'll let time take it's course and may all things be made beautiful in its time.

Yikes!?!

"I have seen you looking at others your same age. You have often compared yourself. You surmised they have taken better care of themselves than you have. This has bothered you off and on, but now it is concerning you more and more..."

"Today is a new day. You have My power within to begin and sustain all I have called you to. Worry about nothing. Listen. Follow Me."

-Bev Robinson, taken from Glory of Zion International (Devotions)

Uhm, are you thinking what i'm thinking? You'll know if you've been reading my blog.

Ain't it interesting? I was stunned and speechless. Not like i'm not taking good care of myself, neither am i becoming more worried, but yeah, i was just talking about that with Simon's mum yesterday.

Well, thanks for speaking to me Lord. =)

I will follow you..

情不自禁

=))))))))

wait, wait... focusssss... hehehehe!

Fix your eyes upon Jesus....

Daddy's flying off to Holland later! I'm so going to miss chatting with him everyday! :(

Even when he can't chat for long, he will just come online to tell me that he has to go to meeting or go to church or give me some updates.

Well, i'll just have to wait til he comes back then.

Tomorrow is PSP PRAC EXAMS! AHHHHH!!!!

Lord, please help me! I know i can't, i really can't. But You can. YOU CAN!

Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Holy Spirit.

Happy Birthday to my Oni!

Today, the 25th of October, is a special day! And it's a day that i can never afford to forget for as long as i have and will live.

Yes, it is my ONI's BIRTHDAY! =)

I actually dreamt that i forgot to wish her on her birthday and it sort of.. was quite like a nightmare! Not like she'd kill me if i didn't, but maybe she'll give me some cold treatment. hehe! Just kidding! It's cos i'll never want to miss wishing my dearest sister a very blessed birthday and i want her to know that if this day is special for her, it is special for me too!

I know, everyone has the best sister in the world, and no one can argue with anyone about that. But my sister is like no other sister, and i still don't understand how she does it. EVERYONE WANTS HER TO BE THEIR SISTER! like, EVERYONE!

When i was younger, i was furious at how everyone wants to fight with me for her. When i got older, i am furious at why nobody wants me to be their sister like everyone wants her. HAHA!

I know i say this to her every year, thanks Che for being the best sister in the whole wide world! But seriously, i mean it from the bottom of my heart, and all i can do is to say it over and over again.

She is THE MOST FORGIVING SISTER in the whole of planet earth. She forgives me for tearing her homework apart, she forgives me for sticking gum on her hair and then cutting that patch of hair off, she forgives me for tagging along to all her parties, for scolding her friends, for crying for daddy and mummy like no one's business when she had to take care of me at home, she forgives me for being troublesome and a troublemaker, she forgives me when she gets scolded by mum and dad because of me, she alwayyys forgives me.

She is THE MOST LOVING SISTER in the whole universe. She buys things from school for me, she gave me stickers when i was younger, she feeds me patiently (not all the time), she writes me letters and sends me presents from Australia, she always buys me something when she goes travelling, she invests in my education, she encourages me when i'm sad, and no matter what happens, no matter how far apart we are, she always makes sure she's there for me when i need her. When i was 7, she wanted to pay for my airticket to KL to see her cos dad and mum didn't wanna bring me. When i was 12, again she saved much just to make sure i could be at her graduation in Gold Coast.

When i was younger, she was MY TEACHER. She taught me to love my friends, to forgive, to be wise, to have manners, to not mind too much about petty little things, she taught me to give, to serve, to make cards, to play tambourine, to share and to care, she taught me moral stories, scriptures and principles, she taught me practically everything she has learnt. She taught me to be independent, to not be so spoilt, to be able to take care of myself. She taught me to give with no strings attached, and to do unto others what you want others to do unto you. =p She was and still is the one most important person that i look up to and from whom i gain much inspiration!

When i got older, while still being my teacher, she also became THE BEST FRIEND one could ever have. We did almost everything together, shopped together, ate together, went to church together, hung out with friends together and she listens to everything i had to say. We go on holidays together, she protects me from the lizards and i help her kill the cockroaches, we pray together, laugh at each others DISC results, talk in the room for hours, watch favourite shows together and best of all, maybe worse of all, cry together. That doesn't happen very often, tho. =)

Ka che, if you haven't realised, i just want you to know that i really appreciate what you have put into my life. You have been and still will be such a big part of my life and without you, i would never have been the same. Thank you again for being the bestest sister one could ever ask for and i pray for God's best for you in everything because if anyone ever deserves it, you will be the one.

Once again, Happy birthday Ka Che. Bogoshipta and Sarangheyo! =)

If i could, i would've put lots of pictures on this post but since she won't be too keen, i hope it's alright that i just put one. =)

Love you lots, Ka Che! Have a blessed day and the most exciting year ahead!

Today, I am happy!

At ID last Wednesday, Jason printed out some photos for us and suggested we write encouraging notes behind each others' photos..

When i got mine back,

Someone called me.. "Ikan bilis.."

Someone said to me.. "Rabbit, rabbit, stay fluffy.."

And of course, some others wrote very encouraging words like..

"You're supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.."

Never heard of this super-complicated word before lehhh, neither have i. HAHA!

Thanks to YouTube, i found out its origin. Wonder why i never watched Mary Poppins.

Today, I thanked God for my family, my extended family and my ex-ex-ex-ex-extended family. =)

Today, my mind is full of y..., i mean Residency.. ;p

Dum daram dum dum! Good nite!

5 months old

Baby Isabella will be 5 months old tomorrow! How quick!

This time last year, Joyce was only just pregnant and the bump didn't even exist yet! And now..
Wow, how amazing.. We've just witnessed The Princess having her first mouthful of real food, some organic rice powder thing, and she is such a dearie! She finished her portion and it's just so exciting to see how she learn how to swallow her first few spoonfuls of solid food. =)

our little princess

Che told me that when she had breakfast with mum today, mum asked her to make a mental note of all the kopitiams in town. Why, i asked. And che said, mum said so that she can bring you to a different kopitiam for breakfast everyday, when you come back.

Awwwww.. I am soooo touched! That's my mum. =) And i enjooooooooy going out for meals with her, why? Cos it brings back fond memories of how she always brought me out for meals after school, sometimes Rafflesia Chicken Hut, sometimes the Tenom Cafe at the MAA Tower, sometimes the clubhouse somewhere near Kendara Court (i forgot the name), sometimes Southern Cake House, sometimes Chicken Rice at Likas, and i still remember how i loooooooved going to the Singapore Chicken Rice shop at Karamunsing when i was much much younger.

Mummy, i love you!

I've decided to change my title and the picture, so this is just to remind meself next time, when i look back, how the picture of the 3 humpty dumpty dolls looked like. It was taken at a cute little teddy bear shop at Richmond, by my dear Oni. Do you like my new title name? And the picture, nice? Hehe.. Tell me, tell me!

And yes, the frequency of my blogging activity shows how boring exam time is. =(

Hee..

Jiena commented today on the speed my computer works at. Yes i know, and she totally admires my patience HAHA! But 长情 (loyalty) is my name. I will stick with you until the day you are no longer able to serve me. It has been a good 4 years you've been here for me my dear lappie. Thank you so much.

"This is the day that the Lord hath made, I will rejoice and be glad in it.."

Aiyerrrr..!

I feel so bad. So bad.

Me going to Alice Springs on the 9th to 16th will mean that i'll not be around for Val's birthday on the 14th, that i'll miss the after-exam-BBQ, the CG Retreat, that i'll have to swap with someone for Tea and Coffee, and i won't be able to sign up for the First Aid Course this year.

Me going home on the 14th of December will mean i won't be able to attend Val's Honours graduation, neither will i be around for Simon's graduation.

How sad. How sad how sad how sad.

Why didn't i think of all these before this? But hmm, what would i have done even if i'd thought about all these.

I feel most sorry for my Vallie for being so not thoughtful. I am sorry.

But i will compensate for that when you come visiting KK next year okie! ;) I still love you!

Alot of little babies have been born lately. And our precious little Megan is growing stronger and stronger each day. And on top of that, another little bun's in the oven! ;) Congratulations, Ah Lan (not her real name), another close friend of mine whom i've know for about 10 years now. Wow, i didn't even realise it!

Jas and her little bub

Love you and can't wait to see you soon!

Still counting down: 7 and a 1/2 weeks!!!!!!!!!

It's been 15 years or so

Have you ever pretended that you're working in an office, having your own room and many staff waiting for your command outside your room, when you're only sitting at your own study desk?

I always used to imagine things like that but it's been long since i last did that. Then, today when i tried to do that again, Dejavu! I suddenly remembered how much i like to pretend when i was younger. But then, few minutes after that, Ko asked me to check out the airfares for Melb - Hbt for Dai Sou and he said,

"Make a report and put it on my desk by Friday morning, if not you're FIRED!"

I've never imagined of being the one having to take orders though..

Back to my topic, i have been chatting to Pyn who, together with Xing are two of my longest, most faithful and loyal childhood friends i've ever had. We've known each other for 15 years now and our friendship is still going, of course. =)

I'm not that old though, we started young.. like 7 years old?

We've done the silliest of things together, grew up together, went through kids age, teenage, and now reaching young adults age together. Went to Girl's Brigade, tambourine classes, Sunday school, youth service, went to the same primary school, same high school, and we often visited each other's homes. How blessed i am to have you two beautiful girls grow up together with me.

on the 11th year

this year, our 15th year

How amazing, we're gonna stick together for many more 15 years to come!

I am thinking about changing "MY LIFE, HIS STORY" to "BEAUTY FOR ASHES", but it's not that original i know, what d'ya think? Well, i may have to change the layout to one that's abit more mature then if i did that.

Well, will keep on contemplating. =p

See yaz!

Exciting times

Exam time, how exciting.

My daily highlights are daddy and mummy coming online. Burr. And maybe my 10-minute kickboxing workout.

Mum is currently explaining to me how a newborn lizard looks like..

"the skin still transparent and the stomach a bit bulging green green one, no tail yet.."

If you know me, i am terribly, extremely, totally, lizard-phobic.

If you hear me screaming at the top of my lungs out of nowhere, there is 90% chance that there's a lizard somewhere near me.

But how fortunate, Australia has absolutely no house lizards. Not that i know of, at least.

Peter Tenni said that the best way to overcome your phobias is by way of exposure, but i am not going to imagine where that sort of therapy will take me.

I'd rather pour buckets and buckets of mum's enzymes over meself than go for exposure therapy. Angiwei, mum's point of telling me about the lizards was that her new-homemade-enzymes can clean the toilets sparkling clean and shoo away the ants, and hopefully lizards and cockroaches. You better work, enzymes.

Like i said, i look forward to talking to mum and dad nowadays. My dad likes to make jokes that sometimes make himself look very funny and i didn't always understand why he likes to do that. But now, i am beginning to appreciate it. He just wants to make me happy. And after his joke he will say,

"Do you feel better now?"

I miss you dad. I miss you mummy. I miss you ka che. I miss you too, ko and dai sou.

I want to go home. NOW! hehe just kidding. I know "Good things must wait.." =p

Back to Pharmacokinetics! And yay! Church tomorrow!

I am going to Alice Springs!!!

Wooo hooo~!

We spent the WHOLE day arranging the airtickets, accommodation, car rentals, itinerary...but at least we got all the planning over and done with so that we can concentrate on our exams.

I wasn't that excited, really. but i'm getting more and more excited now! weeeee~!

I'm thankful that Dad and Mum said 'OK!' when i asked for the permission but dad said,

"Alice Springs? The brown rock there?"

"Yeah!"

"Go there for what?"

"Erm... see the rock?"

=p

i think, i am quite excited. Uhm, well i AM excited.. hmm, i think i'm really excited!!!!!

And... we're spending about 2 nights at Adelaide as well hehe.. hehehe... HEHEHE~!

Angiwei.. i'll put that aside until 11am of 09/11/09 when i hand in my last paper.. and then i'll fly off 5 hours later! =D

Not me, not me, i didn't plan it.. My friends very kan cheong kan..? =p

And about a week after we come back, we'll go camping again around Tassie, Yippeee~!

No, i didn't stay back in Tassie this time for holiday, i stayed back to do honours!!!! But, there's nothing much for me to do here at the moment, except to "write up the methodology..." without even seeing or touching the MudPIT thingy.

I think i misspelt Donepezil in the last post. I WILL REMEMBER YOU FOREVER, DONEPEZIL! Hmph!

No more classes for the year 2009~!! If Har was here, she would be mumbling away the whole day or in fact the whole week.. "This will be our last class.. this will be the last time we see this lecturer.. this will be the last time we do this we do that.. this will be the last time i sit here.. etc etc.."

I've only got 2 and a half months left to enjoy my year, make the most out of it, and to write 2.0.0.9.

I just realised that 4 of my friends, all the same age as me, who sort of grew up with me together are married now! And.. 3 of them have kids already... =S

But but but.. we're only 22.... =(

Angiwei... EVERYWOMAN last night was extravagant! Good worship, good sharing, good food! And as i responded to the alter call, Alicia spoke into my life, right into my spirit.. Wow! And, Amy asked me to go to groove, their jamming session, Yay!

Alrights, it is almost quarter to 3 now. Better head off to sleep and start gearing up for exams!

Count down: 2 months! 8 weeks! 2 months! 8 weeks! 2 MONTHS! 8 WEEKS!

Relief or what?

PHEW! It's finally over. The much dreaded Therapeutics Oral Test is finally over!!!

Peter wasn't as bad as i thought, but i definitely don't like the way the questions are set this time. I can't even get the facts of the cases in my head and they started asking me questions already. And the questions that they asked were so NOT related to the case. Or were they? O.O

It was so difficult!! I remember seeing Donapezil somewhere! somewhere!!!! But where...?

"Comment on the dose and the use of Donazepil, side effects, etc.."

".............."
{eyes roll to the left, to the right, head looks down on the floor, looks up again with a blank but anxious expression}

"Oh, so you have nothing to comment about Donapezil..."

=.=

=(

I hope i got most of the others right, at least half pleasseeee, pretty pleaseee...?

Anyway, i shall not brood over it. Only cos there is much more ahead!

We're having our last EVERYWOMAN of the year, tonight. Can't wait to be soaked in God's presence, showered with love and blessings, recharged, restored, rebuilt, refreshed again. Need it soooo much.

I only had 3 hours of sleep last night. I think i better do something about my last-minute-rush habit.

On a happier note, the Ethics Application is done! Done by the primary investigator, Dr T of RHH. Another sigh of relief. Hopefully it gets approved soon and our project can get rolling asap! Dr T tried to call me on my phone the other day to tell me about the 4 extra days the HREC are giving us to finish up the application. I didn't get to talk to him cos i was in class but i found out that the call was from him and i was totally thrilled! I don't know why but isn't it cool!? Like, the neonatal specialist at the hospital is calling to discuss about a project that we're working on together. It feels like i'm part of something BIG! Weeee~! How cool is that?

When i chatted with Dad n Che yesterday, i missed home soooo much, i cried. I felt like flying home there and then. I want to be at home. It just feels so terrible to be alone during these times. But i guess, that's just what happens. I cried and missed home the last time i had my exam. I cried and missed home when i got food poisoining. I cried and missed home when i had to finish up my lit review. In fact, i cry and miss home all the time, haha! More so during exams. Hee.

But, i think i'm not alone. Someone missed her brother who is only away for 3 days. Don't be such a babyyyy... hehehe!!!!!

It will be all work and no play for me from now on. Maybe, more work and less play? =D

加油 to all my dear friends who are having any kind of stress or struggles at the moment.

"Be strong and take heart, the joy of the Lord shall be our strength.."

Praise the Lord!

Thanks to everyone who has been praying for little Megan. She is currently breathing more strongly now and she is showing some reflexes.

All praise and glory to our gracious and mighty God. We will continue to pray for her recovery.

Yipppeeee~! I choose to believe. I choose to believe. I choooose to believe although there are many things that i do not understand.

With Christ in the vessel, i can SMILE at the storm, SMILE at the storm, SMILE at the storm, with Christ in the vessel we can SMILE at the storm, as weeeee go saiiiiiliiiing hoooommmmeee...

Do not tell lies

While waiting for my two lovely friends to pick me up for dinner, i shall blog. And blog i shall, because i can't swallow anymore therapeutics now.

As mentioned above, i need to warn people who like to tell lies to stop that BAD habit.

"Stop right now, thank you very much..."
*puts right hand forward with palm facing outwards and hip pushed towards the right*

Well, i am telling you from experience that the boy who cries like a wolf for too many times will receive no more help when the wolf really comes.

I was just jokingly telling lies. And i didn't use to tell so many lies. And even when i do, they are lies that do no harm at all. =( And how would i know they think so highly of me, that they always fall for my tricks. And the more times they get tricked, the more fun it is.. hehe!

Then, one fine day, nobody believes me anymore even when i'm telling the truth. I suddenly feel so helpless and so remorseful. No matter how serious i make my face look like, they insist i'm lying. Buu hooooo~! So much for the lying girl..

no more lying.. no more lying.. no more lying for meeeee~!

"Whoever would love life and see good days must keep his tongue from evil and his lips from deceitful speech." - 1 Peter 3:10

anddddd.. they are still not here yet..

i'd better get back to the antidepressants! Tata!

This is not fun..

Staying at home on a bright sunny Saturday, not being able to go outside or chat with my housemates for as long as i like or watch TV as much as i want to is not fun at all.

It's been long since the house has been this quiet and i have to restrict myself to the vicinity of my own room. :(

But no matter how much we whinge about it, we've still got to do it. There is no escape. I guess, one month of no fun can be easily compensated with my TWO months of holiday after that. WEEE~!

i. can't. wait. I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!

For the moment, i've have to put all that i can into it, bak kata pepatah "susah susah dahulu, senang senang kemudian".. =) One of the many advices from my dear sis, that has managed to come with me through the years.

Today, the tenth of the tenth, is Jing Harn's birthday. Jing Harn is another high school friend of mine who, long before Maria came along, was my faithful toilet buddy. Anytime, anywhere, whenever i wanted to go to the loo, Jing Harn would be there for me. =) She stayed back after school to accompany me lock the doors, she accompanies me here and there such that she became the best companion i ever had during the late high school years. We'd reach school at almost the same time, and we'd go home at the same time. I'd look out for her SAA41XX (?) and she'd help look out for my mum's car. She dances, she (erm, what does she play in the chinese orchestra already?), she loves to sing K, she loves her friends.

And she drinks her drink very very verrryyyyy slowly. Hee.

It's my bad i never managed to get her mailing address from her although both of us are living in Australia at the moment. I've even been to the doorstep of her home in Melbourne, yet.. And my bad that i left it til the last minute, i could have asked her for it earlier.

Well, instead of regretting, i'll wish her a happy blessed merry berry cherry jelly burfday here! May your dreams bring you to greater places and may you continue to be such a dearie to all those around you.

my cute little fwen

my cute little fwen and me

HAPPY BIG 21st BIRTHDAY AGAIN, dear friend! You're finally old enough now! =p

Miss ya~! And all the best to whatever's coming up (i.e. assignments, exams..) hee.

Lotsa love, Phyyyyliiiis.

The story behind 'trail of gold dust'..

A few people have asked me why the name, why 'trail of gold dust'?

Although 'gold dust' sounds like someone's name, 'trail of gold dust' has nothing to do with that someone, and it certainly does not mean trailing behind that someone. Next time must say properly.. trail of gold. dust.

The story goes like this, i had a vision of a butterfly one day at prayer meeting back at d'Stream. And the butterfly left a trail of star dust? glitter? or something like gold dust and wherever those gold dust fell on, things changed, they became alive and more beautiful. Hence, the birth of the name "Trail of Gold Dust".

My previous blog at multiply bore that name. And the reason why i chose this name is because i want my life to leave a trail of gold dust. I want to leave behind a legacy. I want the moments in my life to be beautiful, to be life changing, to bring glitter into life. And the reason why i blog is so that when i look back in the future, i can see the trail of gold dust tailing behind me.

I want to be like the butterfly, i want to shine! =p

Profound leh... See you still laugh at me or not, Ms Toilet Tour Guide (TTG). Bleh.

Had a HUGE steamboat buffet at Big Mouth thanks to Ms TTG. I am filled to the brim, almost became bulimic except that the vomiting is not induced, if that makes any sense. XD

Why blogspot no emoticons!???

Aaanywayyy, i'm doing this 10-minute kickboxing cardio workout everyday now, so that i get to exercise while not having to go out in the cold. Yays!

Weekend's here but i'm not at all happy this time. Exam's getting real close, in fact too close for comfort.. :( and i need to get some calculations for pharmacokinetics done, although my heart is heavy with the oral test. All because the lecturer said "You international students come to Australia, you should be more dedicated to your work" when he saw our blank sheets. But that's not fair, we didn't know he had asked us to do the questions at home. :( Maybe we were playing too much at class? Who ask him to talk so softly.. hmph! =p

We are going to show you what we can do! Blekkkk! hehe!

Awrites, nitey to all! I need to dig my head into the books now!

Ooo~! 9 weeks to go!

How exciting!

I just realised that it's been 2 weeks since i last counted! That was fast!

9 more weeeekksss! i have come this far! yipppeee~! Another year has passed!! =)

I just measured my waistline and i cannot believe how much i have put on since i came to Australia. I told my dad, "Daddy, my waist is now ___ inches," and he said "Pengsan lor, so big.." =|

I am determined to exercise more now. I must, i must I MUST! I want to strengthen my abs and fight with the 排骨婆..haha! I'm going to do my hula hoops and sit ups and i want to see the layers of fat no more! And i've got to do something about those thighs too!

Oh well, but i don't mind keeping them if it can be something to laugh about in class! haha! We were acting funny in class today again. In G's class! haha, how respectful these 2 honours students are to their supervisor! =D

And so, the Wonder Five of Pharmacy Year 3 was born this day. We passed notes, drew silly pictures of each other doing our silly things and saying our favourite quotes.. Ahh, so much fun! Just that the other classmates who were keen to join us in our note-passing, drawing and giggling activities could only stand aside and watch cos they don't understand. You know, private jokes.. =p

Up next: Therapeutics Oral Test @ Peter's office!!!! Peter!!!!!! *faints* I want...andrew and angus.. hehe..

Can't wait to kill that 排骨婆 in class tomorrow! I can't believe she posted the funny 麻雀虽小 drawing of me on facebook!

晚安!

C3 Hobart rocks

Bill Johnson is another minister i hear alot about in church. And something that amazes me is that his son who is 85%-90% deaf in both ears, while waiting for his own healing, prayed for a few deaf persons and they got healed! It is something too wild for my imagination. I mean, if i can't even see what God can do for me, how can i be confident that God can do it for another person?

But, i want to believe this. I do.

There have been quite a few things on my mind currently that i find are a bit too confusing for my tiny little brain. In many situations, i realise there is a need to find a balance between doing too little and doing too much. But how do i do that? I guess, this is why Wisdom is one of the words God gave to sustain me. I definitely need Wisdom from above.

A quote from Bill Johnson that i just read and like very much, "The walk of faith is to live according to the revelation we have received, in the midst of the mysteries we can’t explain. That’s why Christianity is called - the faith."

As you may have realised, i attend C3 church in Hobart which is part of an international movement founded by Ps Phil Pringle in Sydney. I love my church and here is a photo of us, the international students of the church at our new church building! Wooo~! Guess which one's ms phyllis lee?

And yes, Elaine, i am looking forward to Karambunei tooooo!!!! Yippeeee, someone's gonna teach me how to bike! =))

Sayonara for now!

All the hard work and sacrifice

Thank You, Lord.. that literature review came back alright.

It is way better than i thought it would be and i thank you for Your favour and Your grace.

All the hard work and sacrifice, all the sleepless nights, the classes missed, the stress and adrenaline rushes, the hours and hours of reading and writing, che's not being able to visit more places, all the frustration and agitation, and all that all that.. have finally paid off a little. It's not the end yet i know, but i am grateful.

There's one particular person i want to thank here. She's my dear magic wolf who has generously shared with me what she knew about the topic, let me copy her timeline, helped me print the colour pages and rushed me to uniprint. Thank you so much, friend! I'm thankful that we're doing this together and you might not realise how doing it with you makes it so much more bearable.

I guess, I do care.. but i don't want to make the outcome my utmost priority because i know it is the process of learning that matters. Even if i had to stop my honours now, i'd be happy enough to have learnt so much from it already. Learning and researching from scratch about a subject that's totally new to me (in fact, 2 separate subjects), learning to discipline myself, learning to be bold and courageous, to take initiatives, and i've even had the chance to have a little glimpse of the real world out there while being on this project. Plus, what is more to thank about than the best comrade who's as intelligent and as brilliant as ever? Who tells me that i'm only missing home when i asked if i was going to die, cos i keep having flashbacks and snapshots of home? Who never rejects my invitations to go to the loo in between classes? Who is left-handed just like me!

Tomorrow is free day for me and ID's on at night. Yay! And i've got no more pracs, no more clinical rounds, no more therapeutic tutes!

And don't you think this picture looks like a portrait of a happy family? We are. =)

God bless!

Daylight Savings

I had a b-e-a-uuuu-tiful day yesterday, a day filled with beauty and laughter, flowers and friends.

We went to the botanical garden for the Tulip Fest and we took heaps of photos. The tulips were absolutely stunning, but what i treasured more was the time with friends, this time with some of the housemates from the front house. It was a good time getting to know more about each other, and just enjoying ourselves and enjoy being ourselves.

We had a steamboat dinner and then later on, we walked to the casino for free hot chocolate! The guard did NOT ask for my ID this time! Simon asked whether i was disappointed, i actually felt rather proud of myself! haha!

It was sort of the last dash to have all the fun we could before we had to start preparing for our finals.

But, fun for me did not stop just there yet. We had a barbeque after church this afternoon at 64 Anglesea St, our new church building and it is ours now! yippee! Praise the Lord for the smooth transaction and His hand upon us all this time! The sun was out, the children were playing, we sat on picnic mats, chatting and laughing, having sausages, bread, burger and cupcakes! i'm feeling very berry blessed! =)

I mentioned about a lady who was very much part of our church, who passed away the other day? Her husband preached at our church today. And i wondered, and i wondered.. What is it in him that enables him to preach and joke and laugh and be naughty in the midst of such grief? And the children? They were praising and singing loudly and shouting out 'God is good, touch this place, Lord, stir up a fire..'

I'm not even sure whether i'd be able to come out of my moaning and groaning, my sadness and self-pity if i were any of her family members, let alone still preach, and sing and cheer others on. I'd think that i have every right to stay angry, stay sad and be mean because i am terribly hurt. I'm already discontented enough to be complaining about the little bit of sadness that's sitting in my heart, the little bit of discomfort of reaching out my hand to a friend, the little bit of unhappiness about petty little things...

Wow, that really blew me away! I mean, it's not just a cat, not a job, not even a friend.. she was a wife and a mother. I'm sure that just as they are still celebrating life, they are still feeling the lost of someone dearest to them but it's just the fact that they are not letting anything stop them from praising God and giving thanks to Him that inspires and amazes me. God is still good, God is still good.. in the midst..

After the alter call, Tim, who preached, asked us who came up for the alter call to pray for the rest of the people who still wanted to come up. Immediately i felt like a hermit crab, ready to snug behind my shell and say, Yes, that's something great but that's not for me. Nope, i'm not ready.

But something in me made me feel otherwise. Tim has just preached that 'I can do all things thru Christ who strengthens me.' We all know that verse really well, don't we? We can memorise it inside out, upside down, front to back and back to front. But today, i got it. And i believe it. I believe now that what He has set my hands on to, i will be able to do it thru His strength. I will not shrink back.

I would like to also add what Chuck Pierce said about this verse, that it also means we can do all seasons, good or bad thru Christ who strengthens me. Not just 'things' but 'seasons' as well. We can do ALL seasons, any season in life, tough seasons or smooth-sailing seasons the same, we can do it thru Christ who strengthens us.

I'm still slowly wiggling through 'Gifted Hands' by Ben Carson and what really humbles me is his attitude and his neverending passion to learn more. His mother has taught him that people are just people, and everyone's the same. Being black, he has learnt it the hard way. He hasn't always been treated the same, yet that is what he does. It's something like overcoming evil with good, i would think. :D

I would like to reproduce a short paragraph or two from his book here, and hope it inspires you too! =)

Today i try to emphasize this point when i speak to young people. "There isn't anybody in the world who isn't worth something," i say. "If you're nice to them, they'll be nice to you. The same people you meet on the way up are the same kind of people you meet on the way down. Besides that, every person you meet is one of God's children."

I truly believe that being a successful neurosurgeon doesn't mean I'm better than anybody else. It means that I'm fortunate because God gave me the talent to do this job well. I also believe that what talents i have i need to be willing to share with others.

I'm 3 hours away from home now but it also means i've more time to play outside! =)

Have a good week ahead everyone!

Lord, increase in me, diligence and boldness..

So many things to thank God for..

..and so says mum. =)

And, i agree! When i look back at the blogs in multiply, i realise how much i have been thanking God for the things He's blessed me with and how many times i've blogged about God answering my prayers.

One more thing to thank God about, Mr G says we can do MudPIT analysis without having to wait for Royal Hobart Hospital to collect all the samples they need. YAY! Praise God, and so much for my worrying.

Praise God that the infringement has been waived and the cashback from BROTHER for my printer is here!

Praise God that i have safely arrived at my last few weeks of 3rd year, hopefully the first and the last. =p

And, i'm going to the T
ULIP FESTIVAL tomorrow! =)

So fast, one year has passed since the last one.

Chuck Pierce says to RE-LOOK. Perceive the new. And have a new view of the things in the past.

"
In the midst of our confusion, hurt, change, grief, desolation, despair, and death, we must be perceptive enough to recognize Him as our very present help in the time of trouble!"

"Praise be to God, who has not rejected my prayer or withheld His love from me!" -Psalm 66:20

The First of October

Hey, can you believe it?

Three quarters of our year have passed. And we're only left with a quarter of a year! I'm not sure whether i'd like to say "How cool is that?" or "How scary is that?"

It's October and it means that...

♥ my oni's birthday is in about 4 weeks,

♥ my exams are coming in 4 weeks,

♥ i'm one more week nearer to home,

♥ i'm in the middle of Spring time,

♥ daylight savings start this Sunday and i'll be 3 hours apart from Malaysia again,

♥ i've got only 3 months left to write '2009' (theoretically 3 months, practically 2 months),

♥ i'm one month nearer to my next birthday, HAHA!

Argh! I'm just a bit nervous and unsure about being so close to the end of the year. I did have a great year and i want to finish 3rd year as soon as possible, but i'm not too sure if i'm ready for my year to end.

Lord, Lord, i know i'm fickle-minded. I want this but i want that too. I want it to end faster but i don't want it to end so fast as well. I am excited about my future but i don't want to grow old yet. Help!

I was reading a verse yesterday night and it says that Jesus sustains all things by His powerful word. So, i quieted my heart and asked for words to sustain me, to sustain my body, soul and spirit in this particular time and before i could finish asking, Jesus showed me 4 words that came one by one..

LOVE, WISDOM, FAITHFULNESS, ZEALOUSNESS

Lord, grant me love. Love from you and love that i could give, to sustain me.

Lord, grant me wisdom for my everyday life, wisdom that brings peace and joy.

Lord, grant me faithfulness that i will remain faithful to You and the tasks at hand.

Lord, grant me zealousness and hunger for more and more of You.

"The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of His being, sustaining all things by His powerful word...." - Hebrews 1:3
