Today has been a very very interesting day. It started off very early in the morning, at about 4.15am.
Yes, 4.15AM!
It was someone's idea to get up early in the morning and start fasting at 5am, together with the Muslims as they fast for Ramadhan. It's Malaysia day today, also Sabah day, so we sort of joined them in their fast and pray for our country on this special day.
So YAY! Happy Malaysia Day to my beloved country. I LOVE MALAYSIA no matter what people say!
Off we went to meet at the college's kitchen and i had a piece of toast with honey, which wasn't quite enough to last me until dinner time, when we're supposed to buka puasa/break fast.
We then proceeded to watch the magnificent sunrise! It was absolutely breath-taking with beautiful colours painted in the sky and the sun slowly creeping out from behind the mountains and the sea. WOOH!
Today is a free day for me, so we waited and chatted till Food Store @ South Hobart opened for business and we quickly went there for a big breakfast before we officially start our fast for the day. Cheating, i know! :p
And we had a good chat talking about God, life, future and stuff. Thanks S & N. It was a refreshing time!
I came home planning to sleep but ended up vacuuming the floor, watching Dr Phil and Oprah Winfrey, playing with Isabella, planting 6 small pots of flowers, the Baby Blue Eyes and some Poppies. Yes, Californian Poppy! =p but no, no morphine.
I took a nap after folding the clothes that have been messily stacked up in my wardrobe for ages. Che, i miss you the most during these times!
You know, i will really miss the times i have with my friends at uni when i graduate end of next year. The times when we run around lecture halls chasing each other, laughing and teasing each other about our weird habits. Like someone who moves her body when she says something, or someone who bows when she says thank u or sorry, or someone whose hometown language is 'miao miao', or someone who speaks to her baby in a funny cartooney voice... Nothing will be able to replace these memories and how i thank God for putting such fun and weird people in the class with me! haha! i love you Joyce, i love you Jiena, i love you Mariaaaaaa! Potato llama loves juicy zombie, magic wolf and the weird mummy.
And hello Cathrine San! Welcome to my blog and thanks for being such a blessing to me all these years and all the while! :)) It's so much fun elongating your neck! :p
I'm hoping to get the photos i need from everyone else's camera as soon as possible so that i can post them up here. :) i don't have my own camera since the day i lost my navigator :(
Just want to share with you a verse we have been talking about lately.
"Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen." - Ephesians 3:20-21
So think BIG! :)
