No where else just like home. My home. =)
Yes, people are rude and cut the queue like it's the norm here and you're weird if you don't. Drivers cross into your lane without signaling and it's your responsibility to anticipate people crossing into your lane like signals never exist. And when you do signal, be it out of courtesy or obligation, assuming or hoping that the kind driver would let you cross into their lane, out of a sudden the driver speeds up and you missed the chance to cross and you are forced to take another route.
Yes, whoever speaks louder wins; whoever is more cruel survives; whoever is more violent gets the upper hand. You can't earn a living from having good manners and etiquette, and you better not think that your rights are worth the fight.
Yes, it is hot here, it can be dirty and smelly in some places, and it can be dangerous in some others.
But, this is My Home. The home where i was brought into this world and the home i grew up in. The home where i took my first baby steps, drank milk from the bottle until * years old, dug holes in the ground in search of gold, burried dead spiders and birds, climbed trees, imagined myself to be a doctor or a teacher or a nurse or a lawyer when i finally grow up. It's the place where my first memories were formed, the place i spent my childhood playing, laughing, believing i can fly and touch the sky. The home where i learnt to crawl and walk, to stumble and still get up on my feet again, to understand that i need to work for what i want and that i can achieve my biggest dreams if i just believe.
It's where i feel safe. It's where i belong. It's where i want to be.
Here, i can yum cha until 2am, i can have fried noodles for breakfast, i can watch tv all i want, i can come home from a tiring day and not worry about what to eat or when to do the laundry. Here, i can go to the cinemas as often as i like and spend money without having to times it by 3.
No matter how long i will eventually spend overseas, Malaysia is my home, KK is my home.
In a blink of an eye, i have been back here for a month or so already and i am only left with less than one month of my holidays. I am excited about the new year but dread having to leave my home again. I feel the mixed feelings coming again and it's just gonna get stronger.
Anyway, i am happy and contented to have learnt how to cycle, had my ears pierced, had lots of good food, spent lots of time exercising, shopping and lazing around, went to an awesome seminar called Ancient Paths, watched Old Dogs, Avatar, Sherlock Holmes, Tooth Fairy and 大日子woohoo!. See what i mean, i have watched more movies here in just one month than i have in 3 years of being in Tassie. But well, no complaints. I am happy to be home, happier to be given the oppoturnity to study in Tassie. =)
Alrights, enough rantings for today.
I just want to thank God that everything's going well and i can boldly say that i am loving every moment of being me now. God bless you all!
